Click on the "Crete a new building" button and you will be taken to a new window to input information for the building to be created.

The process takes your through 5 configuration screens. The first one requires you to enter Building Information.

  • Name - mandatory

  • Address - optional

  • Building Type - mandatory

  • Time zone - select your country's capital (not mandatory, but required for some functionality)

The Referral Code field is for distributors of the platform, normal users can leave it empty.

Once you have filled out the field proceed with the "Next" button at the bottom right.

The next screen is for the building size and heating parameters. The values are not mandator to enter, with the exception of the heating type. There is an "I don't know" option in case you are unsure or don't want to define it.

Take note that Buildings have a predefined structure in Enterprise and it is advisable to create at least 1 entity on every level - Floor, Space, Room. This will ensure you can add/remove and edit entities later. If you choose not to add add at least one instance from a certain entity time you will not be able to later. For example you need to have at least 1 floor added in order to add more floors or spaces to that floor, etc.

The following screen is for adding Floors to your building. Let us create an example one.

You can change the name or add multiple ones right here, or add/remove some later, so leaving it with the default name is not an issue.

Now that you have a floor you can add a space to it.

You are given the choice to select a predefined one or enter a custom value if you select the "Other" option, we have chosen to name our "Space"

Expand the drop down menu for Floor 1 and click on the "Create a new Space button. Enter an appropriate name.

Finally you have the option to nest rooms within Spaces.

Let's add 2 rooms in our Work area - Lab Room and Storage Room.

This last step finalizes the creation of the Building. You can click on the "Manage your building" button to go to its Dashboard.

The Main Dashboard of any building contains a set of predefined areas and data that is device dependent. This area is not configurable, however you can create Custom Dashboards (this will be discussed in a subsequent chapter).

The area at the very top provides a quick summary at a glance on the Building - number of floors, spaces and rooms, number of online devices and their total number registered under the building. This also gives you access to the areas for Billing, Users, Heating profiles and utilizing the Rule engine. Last but not least it is here that you can manage your Firmware Management for all devices in the building.

If you want to learn more about how to keep your MClimate devices up to date with the last features, head to the Firmware Upgrade Over The Air (FUOTA) section.

These will be discussed in greater detail in the documentation to follow.

Below the building summary are the 5 subsections where most of the control and monitoring of the devices is done. They are:

  1. Connectivity Center - shows which devices are online and which offline at the time together with periodic data in the form of a chart

  2. Mold detection summary - a feature new to Enterprise that gives you estimation on the risk of Mold developing in your Building, based on readings from specific MClimate device data.

  3. Floor plans - this is where you can add floor plans for your building in order to assign devices to locations, etc.

  4. Dashboards - you can create customizable Dashboards that display a number of metrics based on your preference and needs.

  5. Devices - a list of all devices that are registered within the Building, there status, summary of certain metrics, etc. Useful for a quick reference.

The aforementioned section will be empty now, but we will get to them in time throughout this document. For now lets go to the next chapter and add you first device.
